We work with community groups, sports clubs, families, charities, schools and local organisations to make practical lifesaving skills accessible to more people across our local communities.

Sessions are friendly, relaxed and hands-on, with a focus on giving people the confidence to step forward and help when it matters.

Community Sessions

We work with community groups, sports clubs, families, charities, schools and local organisations to make practical lifesaving skills accessible to more people across our local communities.

Family, Baby & Child First Aid

Our community sessions can be tailored for parents, grandparents, carers and family members who want to feel more confident dealing with an emergency involving a baby or child.

Training can include

  • Baby and child CPR
  • Choking
  • Unconsciousness and the recovery position
  • Seizures
  • Bleeding and injuries
  • Burns and scalds
  • Common childhood emergencies
  • When and how to get emergency help
These sessions are designed to provide practical lifesaving knowledge and are not workplace first aid qualifications.

CPR & Defibrillator Awareness

Practical sessions designed to give members of the public the confidence to recognise cardiac arrest, perform CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

No previous first aid experience is required.

Emergency First Aid at Work + Rugby Specific

  • Price £65
  • Duration 7 hours

KPM First Aid Training is proud to be listed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) as a First Aid Training Provider, delivering practical, high-quality first aid training suitable for rugby clubs, coaches, volunteers and those involved in grassroots sport.

The course also covers rugby-related injuries, including rare but serious injuries: concussion and head injuries, suspected fractures and suspected spinal injuries.

  • Primary Survey
  • CPR & AED
  • Wounds and external bleeding
  • Seizures
  • Minor injuries
  • Shock
It is highly recommended that all appointed first aiders complete the HEADCASE eLearning module.

Scouting First Response

  • Duration 6 hours
  • Certification 3 years

KPM First Aid Training has over 10 years' experience delivering First Response training to Scouting groups across Newcastle.

This practical and engaging 6-hour course is designed around the first aid situations Scout leaders and volunteers may encounter.

The course includes practical scenarios and assessment, giving volunteers the confidence to respond effectively in a real emergency.

Training includes

  • Structured assessment
  • CPR for adults and children, and AED
  • Choking
  • Unconscious casualties and the recovery position
  • Bleeding, shock and burns
  • Fractures, head and spinal injuries
  • Asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Seizures, diabetes, stroke and heart attack
  • Sepsis and meningitis
  • Heat and cold emergencies
  • Drowning

Community projects

Working together on safer communities

KPM First Aid Training is passionate about supporting projects that help make our communities safer.

We have worked with local organisations on initiatives including public-access bleed control equipment, CPR and defibrillator awareness, Restart a Heart activities and community first aid sessions.

We are always interested in hearing from community organisations, charities, sports clubs and other groups who would like to work together on a first aid or lifesaving project.
