The information we collect through this website
When you complete the enquiry form, we ask for:
Your name
Your email address
Details of your enquiry
You may also choose to give us:
Your organisation
Your telephone number
The training you are interested in
Roughly how many people need training
We only ask for what we need in order to reply to you sensibly. Please do not include medical details, health information or anything else sensitive in the enquiry box. If we need that kind of information in order to make reasonable adjustments to your training, we will ask you for it separately and explain why.
We also record the date and time your enquiry was sent.
Technical information
To stop the enquiry form being abused by automated spam, our website keeps a scrambled one-way code derived from your internet connection’s IP address. It is not readable as an address, it is only used to count how many enquiries have come from one connection, and it is deleted automatically after one hour.
Our web hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the website. These are held under the hosting provider’s own retention arrangements.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
WordPress, the software the website runs on, sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site. As an ordinary visitor, you will not be given a cookie by us.
If we add website analytics in future, this notice will be updated first and you will be asked for your consent where the law requires it.
Fonts and third-party content
The typefaces used on this website are served from our own website. Nothing is requested from Google Fonts or any similar service, so your visit is not shared with a third party simply by loading a page.
Why we are allowed to use your information
To reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you
have contacted us asking about training, and it is in both our interests that we reply. Where you tick the consent box on the form, we also rely on your consent.
To arrange and deliver training you have booked. Our lawful basis is
performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
To issue and record qualifications. Our lawful basis is legal obligation
and legitimate interests, because awarding and accrediting bodies require training records to be kept.
We do not use your enquiry to send you marketing unless you have separately asked us to.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing.
We share information only where it is necessary:
Awarding and accrediting bodies, where you complete a qualification with
us, so that your certificate can be issued and verified. For first aid qualifications this is ProTrainings UK. For lifesaving and aquatic qualifications this is the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK). Each holds your details under its own privacy notice.
Our web hosting and email providers, who process information on our behalf
in order to run the website and deliver our email.
Our website developer, SR7 Web Design, who maintains this website and may
see enquiry information while carrying out support work. They act on our instructions only.
Anyone we are legally required to share it with, such as a regulator or law
enforcement.
Where your information is held
Enquiries sent through this website are stored in the website’s own database and are also emailed to us. Both are held within the UK or the European Economic Area, or with providers offering equivalent protection.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: kept for up to 24 months, then
deleted.
Training and booking records: kept for as long as the relevant awarding
body requires, and in line with our normal business and accounting obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
ask us to correct anything that is wrong
ask us to delete information, where there is no good reason for us to keep it
ask us to restrict how we use it
object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests
ask us to transfer it to another organisation
withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details at the top of this notice. We will respond within one month.
